On their way through Lorraine, in the Meuse department, in a village like many others, a man and a woman would collect stones in the fields bordering the river Meuse in order to build Gallic slate-roofed huts , and as they planted and built, they both dreamt of a future rural hotel with an out-of-the-way gastronomic restaurant.

The woman would tan skins, sew, paint and decorate while hearing the familiar soothing sounds of the master, a sturdy bearded guy with a sculptor's powerful hands, who would create hand-made oak chairs and tables. The latter was also a busy chef in the kitchen, cooking the traditional courses typical of Lorraine. Winter after winter, every spring saw the birth of a new work. One room, two rooms, four rooms, and at last eleven rooms, each with a spirit of its own.

The place will delight all those who appreciate genuine craftsmanship and enjoy a musical ambience in a restaurant.

During the summer months, in the shade of three oak-trees, a terrace with plenty of flowers... In the middle of a lovely park there winds an attractive minigolf.
